About me…
Rachel Hollon James enjoys a unique blend of creative talent and corporate knowledge thanks to her two-plus decades as a writer, actor, and producer. From a multi-year run as a featured actress in the Off Broadway hit Pieces (of Ass) to serving as associate producer of the film Son of Morning, storytelling has always served as the central theme of her professional career.
With a wide range of experience on stage and in front of the camera, Rachel has appeared in everything from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to a hit YouTube series to numerous commercials. The Kentucky native has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Baylor University.
Professionally, Rachel has enjoyed stints with a diverse mix of global brands including Soho House, Participant Media and USAA. In April of 2021, she left her position as director of media production at a Fortune 100, where she led a nine-person creative team charged with internal communications, to work full-time as a writer.
Rachel earned her Master of Letters in Poetry and Short Fiction from the University of St. Andrews, thanks to a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Sierra Nevada University.
